A few years ago my son took tennis lessons and at his request I would sit and wait for him to finish. Most of the other parents would leave, so it was just me and one other father. Each week the father and I would see each other and each week we didn't say a word to one another. I thought he was rude, cold, and hugely unfriendly. I'm guessing he must've thought the same about me. This went on for weeks until one day I thought enough is enough and I engaged him in conversation. It was a struggle and a lot of hard work, but what I did notice was this father wasn't rude or unfriendly, but rather shy and tired from a busy work day. We landed up chatting for the remainder of the tennis session.
If you're happy with your current outcome then stick with what you're doing. But work harder, make that extra effort and you'll see you'll get something more than what you were getting before. If you want that change, be the change that you want. I made a new friend, you could be doing handstands!!
